Ruth graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Law from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, in 2004, and was admitted to practice in New Zealand in 2005.
While carrying out her legal studies she spent four years working as a law clerk for a well established Wellington law firm where she gaining exposure to commercial and residential property transactions, estate planning, and assisting in the preparation of wills and trust deeds.
In 2005, Ruth commenced work as in-house counsel for a New Zealand-based technology company specialising in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and processing technologies, among others. This role involved advising on and drafting a range of commercial agreements, including licenses, R&D agreements, and intellectual property terms for projects with both Australasian clients and multinational corporations.
Ruth joined Cropper Parkhill in July 2007 as a member of the Commercial Team where she is involved in a broad range of commercial work including advising on contracts, reviewing promotional material and servicing clients in the technology, pharmaceutical and complementary medicines industries.
Personal interests include running, cycling and exploring Sydney.
